PC Card to CAN Interface

The PCAN-PC Card (PCMCIA CAN CARD ) serves as an easy to use and cost effective solution for connection of a CAN-Bus to a PCMCIA-Bus which comply with the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) standard.

This compact PC-Card form (Type II) is the ideal solution for use in mobile computers. It can be used in any system which has a PCMCIA-socket. The configuration in order to adapt it to the PC is also extreme flexible with the Plug & Play concept of PCMCIA. All resources are necessary for a properly working of this card must requested through this card to any Plug & Play supporting operating system. The host system can support as many cards as there are PCMCIA card slots.

The card is equipped with the CAN-controller SJA1000 and the CAN Transceiver PCA82C251.
