PCI-Express to CAN interface

The PCAN-PCI Express card offers a cost-effective solution for connecting a CAN bus to a modern PC with the PCI Express bus. Configuration for adapting to the PC is therefore not necessary since the driver automatically registers the card.

The PCAN-PCI Express card package includes software for Windows® and sample sources for inhouse programming. The card is equipped with the "SJA1000" CAN controller and the "82C251" driver. The connection to the CAN bus is via a 9-pin D-Sub connector with a pin assignment corresponding to the CiA standard recommendation DS 102-1.

The card is available in a single- or dual-channel version. The PCAN-PCI Express opto-decoupled versions also include opto-decoupling. The integrated DC / DC converter and optocoupler guarantee galvanic isolation up to 500 V between the PC and the CAN.
