oem sja1000 install problem

Postby mbrunner » Mon 23. Apr 2012, 11:24

Hello,
we try to install the newest 7.5 driver on a ubuntu 11.10 system.
It looks that everything is ok but we can not send or receive messages.
Our hardware use io 0x0e80 and irq 6.
We tested the hardware under Windows and PCAN-View, everything is working but not under linux.
We install driver with 'instmod pcan.ko type=isa io=0x0e80 irq=6'

output of cat /proc/pcan is:

*------------- PEAK-System CAN interfaces (http://www.peak-system.com) -------------
*-------------------------- Release_20120319_n (7.5.0) ----------------------
*---------------- [mod] [isa] [pci] [dng] [par] [usb] [pcc] -----------------
*--------------------- 1 interfaces @ major 250 found -----------------------
*n -type- ndev --base-- irq --btr- --read-- --write- --irqs-- -errors- status
8 isa -NA- 00000e80 006 0x001c 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 0x0000

Hello,

sorry, but we do not support 3rd party hardware here in the forum. Only if you own a special driver licence from PEAK for 3rd party hardware, we will be able to help you solving your problem. Please send an email to our support team with your serialnumber of your licence. Thank you.

BTW: using your own CAN hardware with PEAK Windows drivers and PCAN-View without driver licence is illegal!

best regards
