CAN Bus Connection for DASYLab®

Receiving and transmitting measurement signals with PEAK-System CAN interfaces

The measurement software DASYLab distributed by measX supports CAN interfaces from PEAK-System since version 2020.1. Based on our programming interface PCAN-Basic, signals of external measuring devices that are transmitted via the CAN bus, can be integrated into DASYLab applications with all PC interfaces of the PCAN series.

The CAN interface is integrated as input into the graphical data flow diagram of the user interface for this purpose. The desired measurement signal is defined with its position and length, which it occupies in the data of the CAN message. The signal can then be further processed in the software like any other signal. Also, it is possible to send CAN messages with measurement signals.

The DASYLab software is known as an all-rounder for measurement and control tasks. Signals of all kinds can be captured, analyzed, further processed, and visualized. DASYLab includes various function modules for this purpose, which can be combined and configured via the user interface without any programming. The implementation of individual modules is possible using a Python interface or an extension toolkit.

The company measX from Mönchengladbach offers solutions in the fields of measurement and test engineering, test data management, and evaluation systems. measX is known worldwide for its software X-Crash, which enables well-founded evaluations of vehicle safety.
