Can the PCAN-USB Pro FD work in Ubuntu 12.04?

Postby anhphuong » Thu 10. Jan 2019, 02:46

I have a large codebase which only runs in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which I would like to interface to the PCAN-USB Pro FD. I can get the PCAN device working in Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, but when I try to install it in 12.04, the makefile doesn't work because it can't find a lot of the files it needs. Has anyone here used the linux drivers in an older version of Ubuntu? Thanks!

Hi,

which driver do you like to use? SocketCAN or Chardev? Can you please post the output of the make process of our driver? Please also post the info about used kernel version (uname -a).

regards

Michael
