Multi Frame

Postby YannLyng » Sun 14. Apr 2019, 20:56

My challenge is that all frames in a Multi Frame message has the same Arbitration ID, and just different PCI bytes (like 21, 22, 23, 24......)
This makes it very difficult to figure out which data changes, in which frame, within an MF message.
So is there a setting or some tool/sw, that can show each protocol in its own row - so I can see when data changes?

Using PCAN-USB with PCAN-View.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

yes, simply use the trace option.

Thanks, that's the function I'm using now, and then post analyzing that trace, but it´s time-consuming.
What I'm looking for, is a function where I can see a live view of a complete multi-frame, that way it´s easier to recognize the bytes that change - like what´s possible now with a single frame, in the Receive/Transmit window.

Hi,

you can build an own application using our PCANBasic API or one of our higher level APIs (UDS, ISO-TP etc) to get such a feature.
