2021-11-16 • Our device drivers and application software also work in the new Windows


Our entire software portfolio is now approved for use in the new Windows 11. This applies to the current versions of the device drivers as well as the software products, including configuration software and APIs.

The device driver package, currently available in version 4.2.3, supports all CAN interfaces from PEAK-System. As Windows 11 is only offered as 64-bit version, our CAN interfaces with Non-Plug-and-Play technology existing for more than 20 years (i.e. PCAN-Dongle, PCAN-ISA, PCAN-PC/104) are not included. This technology is only supported by Windows in 32-bit versions.

Also the PCAN-Explorer, our comprehensive CAN analysis tool, works in the current version 6.5.2 without restrictions under Windows 11.

Tip: Before you upgrade from your existing Windows version to Windows 11, update the device drivers and existing software from PEAK-System. We also recommend this in general, regardless of the aforementioned upgrade planning, as we fix bugs with updates and often also introduce improved or new functional features.
