Linux Driver 8.11.0

2021-01-19 • Released a new Version of our Linux Driver


Version 8.11.0 of our PCAN-Linux driver for CAN and CAN FD interfaces is now available. Apart from bug fixes and/or the inclusion of native support for more Linux distributions and kernel versions the most important improvements are:

  • Include SOF option which allows to trigger timestamp at SOF instead of EOF (CAN FD FW >= 3.5.1)
  • Improve timestamps handling for USB devices
  • Improve initialization phase by considering current settings
  • PCAN-USB X6 is now supported like all PEAK-System USB devices in a VM
  • User control of the clock reference used in timestamps (real-time, monotonic, ...)
  • netdev: forward CAN bus errors as well and improve support of listen-only mode
